aMarket. We offer several ways to sell, each with
advantages of their own. AfricanMarket aMarket is the best
place to sell all products and services of African and
African American origin—you list your item right
alongside the same item carried by AfricanMarket.com.
AfricanMarket
collects no fees unless an actual business transaction
is complete.
aMarket
Fees
Sellers
incur fees at AfricanMarket.com aMarket as described
below.
LISTING FEES (REQUIRED)
There
are no listing fees for selling at aMarket, but aMarket
sellers must register for the Merchant Subscription. As
a Merchant Subscriber, you’re charged $9.99 per month
to maintain as many as 1,000 items. If your listings
exceed 1,000 at any given time, you will be charged
additional $1.00 per month listing fee for each
additional 50 listings.

MERCHANDISING FEES (OPTIONAL)
Sellers
can draw attention to their listings with
AfricanMarket.com by utilizing our Type 3 Ad displayed on
the side of our pages relevant to the sellers
content. A merchant selling art may want to place a type
3 banner as illustrated on our Advertisement.
aMarket
members will automatically receive a 50% discount.
AMARKET CLOSING FEES (REQUIRED)
A
closing fee is assessed when your item sells. The fee is
based on the sales price, and can be refunded if your
transaction is unsuccessful. Read more about refunds and
credits.

On
items that sell less than $25.01, AfricanMarket collects a
4.5% closing fee.
·
On
items that sell more than $25.00 and less than
$1,000.01, AfricanMarket collects 4.0% closing fee.
·
On
items that sell more than $1,000.00, AfricanMarket
collects 3.5%.
Payment
Information and Terms
·
Sellers
submit a credit card when they list their first item.
·
Fees
are charged against existing account funds. In the event
of a negative account balance, the registered credit
card will be charged for outstanding fees.
·
Merchant
Subscription sign-up fees are charged immediately upon
subscription, and on a monthly basis thereafter.

Management
VIEWING YOUR LISTINGS
AfricanMarket
Marketplace, Auctions, and aMarket listings are fully
searchable by buyers immediately after submission. In
cases where your listing does not appear, try clicking
the Reload or Refresh button on your browser.
ALTERING YOUR LISTINGS
There will
be times that you may want to update or correct details
of your listings.
Altering AfricanMarket Marketplace and aMarket Listings
You
can alter details of your AfricanMarket Marketplace
listing at any time. To alter your listing, click the
aMarket link from the top navigation menu, then sign in
with your user and password and view your open
AfricanMarket Marketplace and aMarket items under your
account. There, find the listing in question and make
the necessary changes.
For
aMarket items, you may alter the description, price,
quantity, and category of your items.
Terms
and Conditions
This
agreement represents the complete agreement and
understanding between AfricanMarket.com and the purchaser
and supersedes any other written or oral agreement. Upon
notice on-line and by direct mail the vendor reserves
the right with 30 day notice to modify these terms and
conditions, amplify them, and/or modify the prices, as
well as discontinue or change the services offered.
PROVISION
OF SERVICES
1.1)
AfricanMarket.com will provide services on its host
computing systems to individual purchasers in exchange
for payment of fees and compliance with the terms and
conditions of this document.
1.2) AfricanMarket.com services are defined as the use by
the purchaser of computing, telecommunications,
software, and information services provided by
AfricanMarket.com.
1.3 AfricanMarket.com will publish a notice of fee
increases 30 days before such increases take effect.
USE
OF MATERIAL
2.1)
Public Domain materials (e.g., images, text, &
programs) may be used in formatting your ad. The
purchaser assumes all risks & liabilities regarding
the determination of whether the material is in the
public domain.
2.2) As provided by Canadian and U.S. federal law and by
International treaties, copyrighted materials (e.g.
images, text, & programs) may not be copied using
AfricanMarket.com services without the permission of the
copyright holder in writing. Copyrighted material may
not be changed nor can the author attribute notices nor
the copyright notices be modified.
3.0
USE OF SERVICES
3.1
) The purchaser agrees to use the services of
AfricanMarket.com as permitted by Local, Provincial,
Federal and International laws. The purchaser agrees,
therefore, not to use these services to conduct any
business or activity that is prohibited by law.
4.0
INDEMNIFICATION
4.1)
The purchaser agrees to indemnify and hold
AfricanMarket.com harmless from any claims, including
attorney’s fees resulting from the purchaser receiving
AfricanMarket.com services which cause direct or indirect
damage to another party.
5.0
PAYMENT OF FEES & PENALTIES
5.1)
The AfricanMarket.com accounting cycle begins on the 1st
of each month. Charges for new accounts are prorated.
Charges for terminating are not.
5.2) Service payments will be submitted in advance of
receiving services.
5.3) Payment is due at the beginning of each month.
5.4 ) Delinquent accounts are those that remain unpaid 5
days after the beginning of the month. These accounts
will incur a 2% interest charge.
5.5) Accounts that are delinquent are put on
“accounting hold” and may not be used. Accounts that
are delinquent for a whole month will automatically have
their files archived. Accounts that delinquent for 2
months will have their files purged. Delinquent accounts
continue to accrue charges while they are on hold.
5.6) There is a service reconnection charge equal to one
half the currently charged set-up fee to remove accounts
from accounting hold status.
5.7) The account holder acknowledges responsibility for
the account until payment is made in full.
5.8 ) There is a $15.00 service charge for any and all
returned cheques.
6.0
ACCOUNT CANCELLATIONS
6.1)
Cancellation requests for any or all AfricanMarket.com
services purchasers must be received in writing via
email, fax, or postal service at AfricanMarket.com main
office. Such requests must be received by 5PM Pacific
time on or before the 15th of the month in
order to be processed by the beginning of the next
accounting cycle.
6.2 ) All AfricanMarket.com accounts must be paid in full
before the transaction will be considered complete.
6.3 ) Set-up fees and 1st Month Fee are
non-refundable.
6.4 ) All cancellations require 30 day notice before
cancellations take effect.
7.0
ABUSE OF SERVICES
7.1)
Any use of AfricanMarket.com resources that disrupts the
normal use of the system for other AfricanMarket.com
customers is considered to be abuse of system resources
and is grounds for administrative intervention. Some
examples of system abuse include spawning dozens of
processes, consuming excessive amounts of memory or CPU
for long periods of time.
7.2) Violations of any of the AfricanMarket.com conditions
of use are unethical and may be criminal offences. You
are expected to report to AfricanMarket.com any
information you may have concerning instances in which
the conditions of use have been or are being violated.
When AfricanMarket.com becomes aware of possible
violations, we will begin an investigation. At the same
time, in order to prevent further unauthorized activity,
AfricanMarket may suspend access to services to the
purchaser(s) in question. Confirmation of violations may
result in cancellation of the individual and/or criminal
prosecution.
7.3) Failure to comply and abide with the above terms
and conditions may result in cancellation of contract.
8.0
FORBIDDEN ACTIVITY
Failure
to observe any of the rules below may result in
automatic termination of your account, and forfeiture of
your account balance. Do not use aMarket in conjunction
with any of the following
activities:

Selling XXX adult
entertainment or subscription memberships.

Unsolicited commercial
messaging (spamming, crossposting, etc).
-
Selling digital cash,
wagering pools, lottery tickets, pirating tools,
hacking tools, spamming tools, fake id tools, fake
credit reports, term papers, proxy lists, password
lists, address lists, travel reservations, seminar
tickets, matrix schemes, or pyramid memberships.
