Even though this is Chester's first solo project he has been a featured soloist on numerous National Gospel Music Workshop of America recordings. He is also a highly sought gospel music choir workshop clinician, performing over 20 such clinics a year throughout the United States and abroad. Chester is a musician's musician and has been an active and integral part of the Texas Gospel music scene for the past 22 years. He began playing for his home church, Trinity Valley Baptist Church, in Liberty, Texas at the age of 12 and became its minister of music at 15. He has also been a featured soloist and clinician in London, England and Denmark.
The album is designed with the Sunday Morning 11 o'clock worship hour in mind and features such churchy songs as "God Is Good," "Watch God Work A Miracle," and "What A Fellowship." But it is sure to become a long time gospel favorite as it includes the timeless and ageless song "I Still Hear Mama Praying" a.k.a. "The Mama Song!"
Because of the crossover success of urban contemporary gospel and the rush to duplicate it, somehow good ol' church music seems to have been forgotten but there's nothing like good ol' church music, music you can sing on Sunday morning. So "Sing It On Sunday Morning" and be blessed all week long!
